Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company seeks an Engineer (Software) in Omaha, Nebraska. Applies a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approach to the development, operation, testing and maintenance of software. Responsible for the development, maintenance, testing and integration of applications and systems that support business operations. Applies Software Engineering and Test Automation knowledge areas to the entire software life cycle of a complete solution, from definition and development to maintenance and optimization. Participates in ideation and brainstorming sessions to devise creative and disruptive digital solutions; builds apps, APIs and data solutions to drive toward implementation of those solutions. Develops automated test solutions to ensure delivery of high-quality code. Implements test automation processes and follows through on testing results. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, Electronic Engineering, or related IT field. 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.  Demonstrated ability with the following: Modern programming languages such as Java, Node JS, Typescript, SQL/DB2, or CSS; Scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, Groovy, or Gradle; Integration software such as Mulesoft, AWS, or Kafka; Software application frameworks such as JavaScript (React JS/VueJS), AWS Lambda, AWS CDK, AWS S3, AWS API Gateway, or Spring/Spring Boot; and Continuous Integration /Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).  Job HQ in Omaha, NE; position may be performed remotely anywhere in U.S. Benefits: Tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; FSA; 401(k) plan with company contribution and match; opportunity for incentives; and during 2024 FT employees receive up to 15 vacation days, 9 paid holidays, and 56 hours of personal time/sick leave.
